For two mornings at the end of August in Crosthwaite Memorial Hall 35 children and 25 adults
turned Detective! We made a variety of craft items including detective binoculars and a phone,
clay boats, magic pictures and a fishing game. We had lots of fun together singing, completing
challenges, watching drama and a video and joining in with aerobics. The mad professor (John
Sainsbury) dropped in each day to explain the Bible story and we had great fun as we learnt
more about the Christian faith together. A great time was had by all! Over 50 people joined
us at our Sunday afternoon celebration where we were able to carry on the Holiday Club theme
and share the experience with parents and friends. Many thanks to all of our leaders for their
energy, enthusiasm and general brilliance!
There will be another Summer Holiday Club next year on a Pirate theme, so watch this space and keep an
eye on your treasure chests!
