St. Paul's, Witherslack

Welcome to St. Paul’s church webpage….. We have a delightful little church here in Witherslack which remains open for visitors everyday.

As a result of a legacy from John Barwick, a Witherslack man, who became Dean of St. Paul’s in 1662, the church was built. It is a fine example of a mid-seventeenth century village church, with the later additions of pews and organ.

There is a service every Sunday alternating between mornings and evenings and generally we follow the monthly pattern of services below:

1st Sunday   9.30am Holy Communion (CW)
2nd Sunday  6.30pm Evensong (BCP)   (4.00pm November - February)
3rd Sunday   9.30am Holy Communion (CW or BCP)
4th Sunday  6.30pm Evensong (BCP)   (4.00pm November - February)

(If there are 5 Sundays in the month then there is usually only one
service in one of the parishes cared for by our parish priest - so check the
Notices in the church porch before hand).
