AUGUST 2009Having had the wettest July since I started recording in 1992 we have now had the third wettest August according to my figures and so far September doesn't show much sign of improvement. However, we must be thankful for small mercies. I was told at the beginning of the month in Little Langdale they have had over 14 inches of rain in August!
