THANK YOU for considering making a Donation to any of the Churches above. We are profoundly grateful for all gifts which help to ensure the continued presence and activity of our beautiful village churches.

For clarification: The payment a donor makes goes directly to Carlisle Diocese who are handling these payments on behalf of local parishes and managing all the paperwork involved in Gift Aiding. Any donation made may appear on your Bank statement as going to “Carlisle Diocese Penrith”, but please be reassured that at the end of each month all the donations made to a particular church get paid over to the respective Parochial Church Council (PCC) and we are already receiving these donations via the Diocese on a monthly basis. There is also a very small charge for this online service, which is normal practice.

Therefore, on the donation online forms, beneath the sum granted are two “Boxes” inviting you to “Tick” one or both. The first one is to agree to cover the cost of this service through the Diocese. This charge is 1.9% of your donation + 20p. If this box is ticked then the sum you have donated alters to indicate the total gift (eg. £10.00 becomes £10.00 + 39p).

The second “Box” is to agree that the donated sum is to be Gift Aided; this is then handled automatically by the Diocese on our behalf - which makes it much easier for our local church Treasurers.
